Can't Hear The Seatbelt Chime

According to the manual, if you don't buckle up, the seatbelt chime will chime 6 times and then stop.

I can't hear it. Is there any way to increase the volume?

Yea, I noticed that on my new G. If i leave my seatbelt off, I get no annoying beeps. I love it though.

why do you want to hear it? either wear your seatbelt like you should or be happy that it doesnt ring and annoy you since you dont like wearing your seatbelt.

That is probably the last thing in any car which you should worry about. Everyone prefers having no annoying chime, because it's not that hard to figure out whether or not your seatbelt is on. How hard can it be? No pun intended.

By the way, Japanese cars almost never had a seatbelt chime. There is a light that comes on within your dash. That's all.

I thought the car didn't chime on purpose. Hmm, guess I should read my manual more.

My TSX requests in a polite woman's voice "Please put your seatbelt on." I haven't noticed anything in the G, perhaps due to the long warm up sequence where I don't have much to do except buckle up, check the mirrors and find my driving glasses.

I'd rip that out if I could. With other cars couldn't move the car 5 feet without being annoyed.

Its there, just not very noticeable. Its more like a beep then a chime and it occurs immediately after starting the car. If you put your seatbelt on before starting the car it will not beep. I actually made a video on this because of an earlier thread regarding this issue. The video is in post number 15 of the following thread:

Dealer can disable that. My GF just had it done on her 2010 Tacoma.
