HELP! Is there Bluetooth audio in my car that doesn't have navigation? I'm so damn confused!

 

Unfortunately no. Streaming only comes with navigation. You can press the voice button on the steering and say "Bluetooth audio " and if you have it, it should show up on your screen with the lady confirming. GL

You should check out the Blackberry A2DP adapter. You can stream audio through the aux input over bluetooth. That's what I do in my 2009.

 

no aux input in the 2011s...

 

That sucks the non navs don't have them. It's a really nice feature that I like more than just plugging in the USB cable and searching for a song.

I wish they had the video jacks on the 11's.

 

I think it's absolute crap that a Bose audio system doesn't have bluetooth A2DP, let alone a 3.5mm audio jack. I feel backed further into the Apple corner, as the only other mass storage compatibility is a usb drive or the music box.

 

I have a 2010 G37x coupe. I just use a thumb drive with all my music on it. The drives only cost $10 or $20 and then you have all your music in the car and you don't have to worry about the bluetooth connecting or any other issues. Its pretty simple to set up.

i opted for the britelink one because its a) portable, up to 12 hours of play on single charge b) the power cable is usb (i have a usb cigarette lighter adapter).

just have to get a rca to mini female adapter (for my aux port in center console) and your all set! will report back after i install/try it. delivers in 2 days.

 

I don't recall having this in my 2008 w/navi. Do the 2008s have it?

 

I found a wireless solution for those with Android phones. There is an app in the playstore called Bluetooth Mono Router that lets you play audio and music through the phone bluetooth connection in your car. It's not stereo, but if you're just looking for a way to play audio and don't care if it's mono, then this app is for you.

 

I use SiriusXM it's pretty good and not too expensive if you negotiate with them. I also use my harddrive and have a lot of albums plus the thumb drive. You are allowed a certain amount of file folders which I named: Jazz, Blues, Rock, Soft Rock, Classical Rock. Miscellaneous. You're allowed a certain amount per category and no more than 999 songs maximum.

 

I've been using streaming Bluetooth to play music from my S coupe, but recently I got curious and tried playing from a USB drive. The sound quality is better on the USB connection. Most of the .mp3 files I played are from Google Play and have a bitrate of 320kbps.
