Do HomeLink Buttons Light up?

Hello! Just a few days into loving my new ride and I have a question. I have a 2011 G37 Coupe with Premium, Nav & Sport packages.

The Homelink buttons do not light up. I'm wondering if this is by design or is my mirror broke. Its hard to find the buttons at night. My last couple cars either lit up or had braille like thingies...

Thanks!

No they don't light up. If you have trouble finding them, they're on the bottom of the mirror. They are the buttons with the white symbol that looks like a house. If you'd like to see them better, press the map light and you will be able to see them better. They are usually in the same place each time I use them though. The only time I had trouble finding them was on April Fools day last year when they switched places with the seat heater buttons and the cruise control buttons swapped places with the turn signals. Mischievous little rascals!

Bummer! I love my new 2011 G37S but have two other grips with it. My wife’s 15k cheaper and four year old car has proximity entry, as you put your hand near the door handle the doors unlock. The G37 should also have automatic on/off/variable wipers with the premium package. From what I understand this is included on some Tech package which for some reason is not available. Sorry no flames, just my humble opinion.

Oh and the coupes should have the automatic tilt up steering wheel on exit. OK four gripes, I'm done now.

I agree about the wipers. No car has everything. However, I would rather have rotating headlights that point in the direction of the steering wheel than automatic wipers.

Those are in the Tech package on the 08. I have them.

Anyone know what happened with the 2011 Tech Package? I think my dealer said no G's got them this year.

^^Uhh that would be a false, though I have no proof since I opted out of the tech package. If no car received it, then why would they offer it as a package?

They are out there, but probably not many....the dealers I talked to said they had very very few with the tech package simply because its not an option package they sell a lot of.

I dont think the aiming headlights are in the tech package anymore.....intelligent cruise control, rain sensing wipers, "advanced climate control" and pre-crash seatbelts are in the current tech pack.

Sorry for all the newbie questions, there is a small light up in the map light/sunroof switch area that stays on with headlights and shines down. What is the purpose? Light up the shifter?<O</O
