Phone Mount for G37

I wasn't happy with most of the phone/NAV mounting options available for the G37. I'm used to mounting my iPhone right up near the steering-wheel, so I can access the phone quickly without pulling my hand off the wheel. I also don't like having to pull my eyes off the road to glance at my phone as calls come in, emails, etc.

I noticed that there is a great mounting kit available for the 370Z, so I decided to order it and try it. I'm a fan of the stuff available at proclipusa.com.

While not a perfect fit, I think it's very acceptable. It takes a little bit of elbow-grease to get the clip to latch on, but I'm happy so far.

I've attached a couple of photos.

Imagine making a hard right turn and your iphone flying out the window.
Looks good though.

I put my iPhone on the center console (coin tray).

The pro-clip mount holds the phone incredibly snug. We'll see how the clip itself hangs on to the vehicle. For what it's worth, it's on there really snug, and there's even a mild adhesive strip near where the clip grabs the vehicle, so it would take one hell of a shake. Time will tell.

I like some of the mounts, but I think the manual transmission makes my center-council quite a bit different from the autos.

Anyone have pics of their setups?

That location for my phone would annoy me.
I hope to come up with a better solution.

^^Good point. Depends which way the panel moves when the airbag goes off. Either way, it'll either hit the windshield or the driver .

I have mine in a similar position but suctioned to the windshield, out of the way of that panel.
