ihave had my 2011 g37 for about 3 weeks now. today i backed out of my garage and dont recall any issue. when i left work today i noticed that i could actually see the infiniti logo on the bottom .5 inch or so of the screen. when i look at the camera itself it doesnt seem loose. It may be pushed back into the car farther then normal, but i am honestly not sure. i suppose somone may have walked up and pushed it in, but i park at a lot with only 3 other people and the car has been there fro the last 3 weeks so it is kinda random that would have happend.since its not loose either i am not sure if that really took place.

i got as far as taking the 3 bolts out for the spoiler but when i ran into the double sided tape i decided i didnt want to mess with it (i dont have tape to replace it, and i am not sure if there is a factory tape piece cut to shape etc..

I just wanted to make sure that the camera doesnt electronically tilt and that maybe i hit somethign in the driver seat. if not i guess i will take it to the dealer, just avoiding that cuz its about 50 miles away.

 

The closest infiniti dealer to you is 50 miles away???

 

Are you sure it is taped on? I took my sedan lip off to paint it and it was 3 bolts and a few plastic clips.. once you take the bolts out just lift the lip to detach the clips.. there may have been a bit of tape too but I didn't replace it with anything. Also my dad has a G37 coupe and you can see the logo in his.

 

it has double sided tape along the outside (it is the factory painted spoiler not the chrom one" its definately taped on there. and yes the closests dealer is 50 miles away. i take it that means the camera doesnt electronically tilt.

does anyone have a picture of the camera assembly? i am trying to determine how it could have moved and maybe i can move it back without dissassembling everything. its just weird because it is definately NOT loose in there.

 

I think that is normal to see the logo. I see the logo on mine. I have an 08 coupe...

 

hmm well thats weird. I know the logo wasnt there before.

 

use a suction cup and try to pull it out a little bit lol.. The only way I can think of is to take it apart

 

i bent a thin screw at a 90 degree angle and tried prying the camera out it didnt want to budge. maybe i am crazy and the bottom of the car was there but i asked my wife who i showed the reverse camera to originally and she doesnt think so. i have driven the car enough that i think i would have noticed it. as soon as i put it in reverse today i was like wtf so i really dont think it was like that before =)

The 2011 G37 loaner I got you can see the logo on it.

 

I had a 2011 sedan loaner this week and you can't see the logo on the sedan but i asked two of my budies that have 2008 coupes as I have and we all can see the logo

 

i just cjecked mine after work and i can see mine too

 

it's normal. I see part of the logo on the vert also.
