Droid 2 won't detect G37 bluetooth
I recently replaced my Blackberry Tour with a Droid 2 and I can't seem to get the Droid to detect the car's bluetooth for the life of me. I've double checked that the bluetooth is on, and then press Scan for Devices. It scans for a couple seconds and my car never shows up. It's a 2010 G37x coupe. Anyone have any ideas? TIA!
Are you going into the car's phone settings to pair your droid? Click on the voice control button and it should say "Searching for your phone (or device, can't remember)." Since it doesn't recognize your phone, it should jump into the menu asking you if you want to add a phone, replace a phone and some other options...can't remember. Say add a phone and follow the directions and you should be good. GL.
Yes you need to make sure you set it up as a phone first, not just audio source. For some reason I can never pair the phone and car if I just try to set it up as an audio device. If I set it up as a phone it connects fine.
