first off, no need to step on break.
second, no need to be away from key fob, it never leaves my pocket.
third, what reason would i void my factory warranty? the fact that you installed a remote start on any vehicle doesn't void anything. now if you have an electrical issue they have to PROVE that the installed equipment caused the issue.

i was being sarcastic but i have seen cars come in from "authorized installers" that messed up electrical systems in new cars (Infiniti and non-Infiniti vehicles).

i was just station my position, thats all. i have been doing this for 12+ years now and have battled people and dealerships MANY times that want to blame an installer before then even took the time to check the car out. just to find out that the issues had nothing to do with what was installed. i am quick to jump at the "their goes your warranty" statement. sorry bout that.

Yeah... I called Consumer Affairs to make sure that installing an aftermarket alarm w/ remote start wouldn't void my waranty and they stated "Though Infiniti doesn't recommend installing aftermarket equipment on the car, it will NOT void your vehicles warranty unless the aftermarket part was found to cause the problem with the vehicle". With that said I recommend you go to reputable installers and get references from friends and co-workers as well before letting someone work on your car. Also check the regional sub-forums as well for reputable installers.

sorry for the delays on updates. last week was hella busy at work. all is working fine, the only small bother is when i remote start the car, then get in and push the start button 2 times, then step on the break to turn off the remote start... the "battery in the key dead' light comes on.

so what do you do?
press lock button three times or stm? and it turns on?
you get in the car, you have to turn off the remote starter (meaning that turn of engine and turn it back on with the push button?)
sorry
just lil confused

I had a remote starter in my Maxima, and I had to insert the key, and turn it to "ON" in order to drive off. So I am assuming you have to push the button twice to get the car to scan for the key again and then you can drive off?

this is a new bypass part.

no, remote start it, get in, press the start button 2 times, then step on the break, the remote start turns off and the car stays running.
