There's not really any pics worth sharing. Everything is already tucked away and I didn't do the install.

The avital model is 4113 if that helps anyone and I got the work done by good vibrations in horsham pa.

all the vipers 5701,5901,5902 and others all do manual transmissions. and theres basic 1-way viper units half the price of a 5901 that will work with the smart start if you plan on not using the remote. I install on push button cars all the time its not a big deal just takes a little longer

I would get the cheap one way and then use the smart start only for everything else. It has feed back in itself correct?

Smart Start will send a text message to your phone letting you know your alarm was triggered. I have a two way alarm system. Im not sure if a one way alarm system will work the same way. Also i do not advise just relying on the smart start to access your car because sometimes the system gets backed up and your car will not receive the command. Instead you get an error message. This can last for hours. Then when the system comes back up you think your car is going crazy because every command you sent to the car starts to come through. This has happened to me a couple of times. It has gotten alot better since they updated the system but it still does it at times.

Hey guys just an update - I've been having a lot of problems w my remote start and most recently now I've had to jump start my car. The installer did a test on the battery and said the "cca" test failed and I need to have the battery replaced. Took it to my local infiniti dealer and they said that the battery issues falls under a technical service bulletin and will be replaced w a bigger battery and the valve cap also needs to be replaced. The service person told me after seeing the remote start that the electrical issues could be caused by the remote start and so now the electrical part of my warranty is voided..

Ill let you guys know what happens next but just a heads up that it may be more trouble than it's worth. At this point I'm going to get the remote start put back in and will see if I have any more trouble in the coming weeks. If I do ill be removing it entirely and having them replace the harness.

Wouldn't they have to prove the remote start caused the problem not just make assumptions? If the dealer would have installed the remote start then would your warranty be void then? Sounds fishy. I would be fighting that one, unless you think the remote start did cause the problems.

I also had my battery replaced under the TSP. I think your dealer is trying to pawn it off so they don't need to buy you a battery. If the problem was not the battery in the first place they would not have a TSP for it. Its not like your car is the only one LOL

So what's the verdict? I'm interested in an alarm, can't tell from the post which one and voids on my warranty.

heres my verdict: don't do it.

i had to have the remote start removed from my car after about a month of going back and forth to my installer. it doesnt work, it was draining my battery, had my battery replaced and had the same issues, and now i'm not sure if i can even trust that everything was removed properly and infiniti says they won't honor the warranty on the "electrical push to start" part of the car
