Which Amplifier Would Best Suit Me?

I am getting pairs of Alpine SWR-1043D Type-R 10" sub-woofer.
Specifications are;

* frequency response: 24-500 Hz
* power handling: 300-600 watts RMS (300 watts per coil)
* peak power: 1,800 watts

Now the amp's I have in choice within my price range that can HOPEFULLY get the job done would be;

Power Acoustik BAMF1600/4 1600W Max, 4-Channel Class Amplifier
Specifications are;
  • 1600W Max 4-Channel BAMF Series Class AB Amplifier
  • RMS Power Rating:
    • 4 ohms: 150 watts x 4 chan.
    • 2 ohms: 180 watts x 4 chan.
    • Bridged, 4 ohms: 360 watts x 2 chan.
  • Max power output: 1600 watts

Crunch P1-5000.5 1300W MAX, 5-CHANNEL POWER ONE Series AMPLIFIER
Specifications are;
  • Power One Series 4-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier
  • MAX Power Rating:
    • 4 ohms: 62.5 watts x 4 chan. + 150 x 1 chan.
    • 2 ohms: 125 watts x 4 chan. + 250 x 1 chan.
    • Bridged, 4 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.
  • MAX Power Rating (14.4V):
    • 4 ohms: 125 watts x 4 chan. + 300 x 1 chan.
    • 2 ohms: 250 watts x 4 chan. + 500 x 1 chan.
    Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 2 chan.
Which one would you prefer getting? I am leaning on the Power Acoustik.

Thanks

Both These amps won't be enough power for the sub. If you wana bridge it to your speakers get a multichannel amp, if not the Alpine pdx.600 and 1000 mono amps are very good. You need at least a 600 watt amp for your 4ohm sub and neither of these put out that much to 4 ohms.

Are you really looking for that much bass? You should come listen to my system, it sounds like 2 subs in the 4080 box

and theres a guy selling a 4080 with a 10w6 in the classifieds for a great price.

How much do you wanna spend? From there, I'll make some suggestions.

EDIT: Don't buy a 4 channel amp. For two subs, go with a mono class D amp. Multi channel amps are for component speakers, 2 channel amps can be used for subs, but aren't as efficient as mono class D amp.

Power Acoustik and Crunch = junk. Don't waste your $

Less than $400 for an amp.

I was thinking getting 1 sub of a Type R and use this amp..

Alpine - 500W Class D Mono MOSFET Amplifier with Adjustable Crossover - MRP-M500

You need a 1-ohm or 4-ohm stable amp if you want to just run a single amp.
You need two 2-ohm stable amps if you want to run two amps.

For $400, you're going to be pushing it. You can use two of those amps you posted above. Don't buy from Best Buy tho'. Put "Alpine MRP-M500" into Google Shopping, and you can get that amp for $130.

or...

Go with two Alpine MRP-M1000 amps for $250 each. Either way, you're looking at some $ if you want those subs to really get off. Type R's can be a little power hungry.
