Navtraffic and xm

Hi all something weird happened yesterday I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else..

Yesterday I was pleasently surprised to find out I have navtraffic and probably around 75 channels of xm. I am aware the car came with 3 months free but this is way after 3 months I'm coming up on a year of ownership in about a month. I did not call to get it updated or anything so this is pretty random. If this has happened to anyone else did it go away after a while or what?

Sometimes they do "free" 2 week things where they turn it on for past subsribers. Not sure if that is it or not.

The quality is not great, agree. I was happy to see the free service as I had a long trip over this past holiday weekend through northern Vermont and NY. The service is OK but it kept cutting out while driving through central Vermont even though I was not in a deep valley but apparently I was still losing line of sight to the satellite. They're trying to tempt past customers to resubscribe.

I noticed the "Traffic" icon as well. Was quite surprised to see that showing up on the screen. Tried pressing it but nothing happened so I forgot about it. Don't drive on the highways often so I guess it's pretty much useless to me.

that is where i do most of my driving and i lose signal a lot. i won't be keeping it unless they offer it to me for crazy cheap, because i dont mind the dead, jam, and indy channels.
