Either I'm doing it wrong or it doesn't work for me.

I'm leaning towards the latter.

The solution worked perfectly for 1 day , then went back to its problem state :-( This does not seem to be a long term solution :-(

I got a chance to play
with a friends iPhone 3GS for a few hours. A2DP integration seemed to be
seamless on the 3GS. Anyone tried a 3GS instead of 3G ?

Doesnt work with the 3G (for me anyways.) I have had the same problem with multiple headunits (Alpine, Kenwood) so i think its the phone.

I have the iPhone 3GS with 4.0 software (friend is a developer) and in the notes for it says it has an "improved" bluetooth driver for A2DP.

Supposedly it's coming out next month so hopefully this will help you guys out.

I'd verify myself but I have a 2008 which doesn't have A2DP.

I have a 3GS and have stuttering on a JVC head unit in my BMW vert - mild stuttering not as bad as you describe on our 2010 EX35 which has A2DP but still present occasionally.

Well then. I look forward to 4.0. Hopefully software can fix it and its not hardware limitation. Thanx for the tip.

The 3G version has a bluetooth chip by a company called CSR
N82ap - The iPhone Wiki - >

The 3GS version has a bluetooth chip from Marvell w/ integrated Wifi

So the BT hardware is different in each phone. Not sure if OS 4.0 will fix it.

I have escalated the matter to Infiniti consumer affairs - to a regional sepeciast. they basically told me that a "master technician" is on the case trying to figure out compatibility. I dont expect much to come out of it. Hopefully Iphone HD will work fine!

Same as you. Skip/stutter went away on my 3G phone with the 4.0 OS download.

bluetooth audio skipping

I have a 2010 Nissan Maxima and I'm having the same problem with bluetooth audio skipping when using my iPhone. I was excited to read about the iPhone software update -- so I did that last night. I thought it helped, but didn't entirely eliminate the problem It's the worst with Pandora, which is my primary reason for wanting to play audio from the iPhone. I think it's interesting that I can play audio through bluetooth (including Pandora) but not when I use the iPhone like it's an iPod (through the USB port). I don't know if the 2010 Infiniti has that USB port, but I have to think that they are using concurrent technology. For my part, I think I could probably listen to a talkshow podcast with the bluetooth - but Pandora would bug me with the skips. SO here's my solution for the time being. Maxima has a set of three RCA jacks (female) alongside the USB, for video imput I use just the red and white (stereo sound) and go to a mini-stereo plug, which goes into the iPhone. I select AUX as my audio option. I can play music, podcasts or Pandora this way, and the sound is excellent. The drawback is that you don't get any control thorugh the car's interface, like I do if I use the USB cable and play music. Then you can see the song titles and make selections, etc. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what other ideas and discoveries appear. PS: I'm not a total "crasher" -- I have a G35 Sedan as well!

The G37 has only a USB port. No Aux or anything else.

Here is my observation so far

1) A2DP streaming bluetooth audio works 95% of the time. The skipping problem is not fully resolved but is totally 'listenable'. If there is additional stuttering just switch back to speaker and bluetooth again.

2) During a call, I can now listen to the CD/radio on my car if Im not using the car's bluetooth. Prior to IOS4, I could never do that

3) The address book corruption has not happened in over 1 week.

4) Call waiting still does not work
