G Coupe Navi / Computer Update
Hey guys,
Today my coworker bought a new EX35 and showed me his car. It looks like Infiniti updated the Navi to look much sharper and higher in contrast, added a 1/32 zoom, along with weather and album art for the iPod.
Is there an update available for our cars that will add all of these cool new features???

wow...I don't care much for the added zoom and contrast, but the added weather and album art would be awesome!! Any new features to the toys in the G is always welcome 
hopefully we will be able to update or something to get this as well!!

Also, I forgot to mention that his EX has those 360 cameras (like the G has an option in Japan for this).
His XM also appeared to have icons/graphics as well. Infiniti also got rid of that huge harness iPod connector and just made it USB. One other thing I liked is that he can tune his radio to BlueTooth audio and stream from his cell phone!!!

No way... the updates to the computer system are one way Infiniti sells new cars.
Historically, it has never been possible to update the computer to match what comes in a newer model. There is usually a hardware component, too. Unless of course, you actually swap everything out.

you can't update the software... you gotta go get a 2010!
XM really added a lot of new choices and features into the new system. the streaming bluetooth audio is nice... I might have to store more music in my phone. Also, the USB port you can attach a digital camera and view images on the screen

Every year they have new technolgy come out, u get 2010 models then they will have new technolgies on
2011 models. My co-worker has a Nissan Altima, he installed a off-market NAV system with all kind of **** on it, it has weather report, trafic update, plus he paid only once, no monthly charge for those functions, it only cost him $800.00 dollars.

look at the '08 coupe... 5at tranny, then '09 got the 7at, went to scratch shield paint, new auto door locks, and new heated seats... '10's will get minor interior treatments, back to a shiny wood trim available instead of the matte rosewood trim available, new nav, usb ports
they want to keep the hype up of our vehicles and they do a great job at it. look at all the owners that still have '03 G coupes and love them. there's always going to be something better each year.
