G37 LOUSY user interface

Only if I knew!!!!

I would NOT have bought my new 2009 G37 if I knew the electronics were sooooo poorly designed!

Recommending Infiniti to a new buyer - absolutely NOT!

Although the drive is great, the user interfaces for navigation, phone, and sound systems are just LOUSY.

When I voiced my issues to the Infiniti service manager, he only offered his cold and indifferent apologizes and nothing else. No software update as far as he knew!

How Germans could put a little thought into their software design, and the Infiniti engineers just be so stupid!

Either I wish I did not own a German car in the past OR did not buy an Infiniti.

A very disappointed G37 owner.

Epic first post indeed.

I don't quite get what it is that's bothering you exactly though

i think it was your fault if you did not test the unit before you made a purchase in your new Infiniti?

Did it somehow magically morph into something different between your test drive(s) and your signing paperwork and driving it home?

Maybe you meant to buy a GM vehicle - the brand that invites buyer's remorse by advertising that they'll take it back if you change your mind.

^^^ +1...No joke...the purpose of a test drive (or multiple test drives) is to see if the car is exactly what you're wanting. If you didn't like it then, you shouldn't have signed the paperwork. If you hate it that much, take the hit and trade it in on a 335i and call it a day.....just hope u have luck with iDrive, doesn't seem to do much for frustrated Bimmer owners.

Clearly a troll...

I also owned a BMW and I can say, without a doubt, the Infiniti has a FAR better user interface in ALL respects. The biggest downside of the BMW was its iDrive system which was universally criticized. For the OP to make the "German" statement clearly tells me he/she is only trying to stir up sh*t.

Like the Mayor said... if you hate it that much, you clearly didn't test drive the car to any extent... sorry you made such a poor buying decision.

Definite epic post. It also seems you did not drive any cars before you bought the G. If you had this post would not be needed. Go test drive others, come back with the experience and give us that opinion not this flame out! Angain like evryone said, try test driving the vehicle and not relying on the programing skills of the service consultant. LOL

Original battery for over a year. And it's only got 10,000 miles on it so it sits for a LONG time in the heat and now cold which isn't healthy on the battery.

As for crappy user interface, I think a few things could be improved upon but overall I think it's a fairly easy to use system.
