You have to reset it. Look on the drive or google it.

If I remember correctly. You turn the car to the ACC postion and as soon as the flashing light blinks off you shut of the car. Do this about four times it should stop blinking. Let me see if i can find the link for you to make it easier.

found it

I did it just a few days ago, and i can confirm that jnguyen's link works. I just kept doing it about 5-6 times in a row, because maybe the first or second time gotmessed up somehow. Do it like 10 times in a row, and hopefully you hit 3 in a row, and it will work.

did it just pop up out of nowhere, or did you do some kind of modification that may have tripped the light? If it just pops up, i would maybe go to the dealer and see if its a safety hazard that the wiring is messed up.

I think they charge like 60 dollars to fix it though..kinda sucks.

Took our G37 into Alexander Infiniti, Cool Springs, TN yesterday morning. SR told me they found a connector under the driver's seat that had disconnected and suggested we put something under the seat. Quietly, I waited for the tech to come around with the car so I could ambush him and ask a couple of questions. Five minutes later, no charge and we were on our way. No suggestion on their part that we would have to pay for this. Great shop, I'd say.

Previously, they did a really nice job with the wheel balancing and alignment.

Crossroads Infiniti in Raleigh, NC is a fantastic shop as well. Gotta take her in tomorrow morning, as a matter of fact. The exhaust is busted somewhere and the warranty is taking real good care of it. :-)

Two Thumbs Up!!

Just replaced the AC/ Radio control unit on my 2010 G37, and the airbag light came on. First response was "oh crap!" Second response was to google the issue, and viola! Your post came up, and I followed jnguyen's instructions. Issue resolved! Many thanks to all!

Having same issue with 09

airbag light blinks. We tried the reset and it worked until someone sat in the seat. Called dealer and they said the seat bottom needs replacing as it’s a occupancy sensor. Cost for part only 4400.00 with discount. Cost to install and reset between 550-1000. The car isn’t worth much more than that. I called Nissan—not under warranty or recall. I filed a complaint with the NTSB hoping of enough people complain a recall will be warranted. Please file complaint, it’s free. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

Yea, same here. My airbag light started blinking a week ago and took it to the dealer. They told me it was a sensor in the passenger seat and it would cost 5k to replace it. Its insane.

I had the same issue and this worked perfectly in my 2011 G37S Infiniti.
However, you should know that the issue could come back in any moment, without any specific reason. Just repeat this simple procedure and that's it.
