Escort Passport SRX -- familar?

Hello all,

Any of you familiar with this product? I am debating whether it is worth purchasing over a traditional dash/windshield mount radar detector. I can pick one up around $500. Prof install is a bit more expensive. I was quote $400 here in Tulsa. Seems a bit steep.

Anyways, I look forward to your comments.

pretty good price for it. ive been doing a lot of research into led vs diode laser jammers as of late. the escort zr4 is what i was looking at for decent protection for around $500 + install. if i wanted to go all the way then the LI system for around $1200 + install is my next step.

Good radar is good... until tagged by laser.
$500.00, as you already know, is a great price.
/Install somewhat involved...just compare $ between a couple competent people - who will stand by their work and go for it. my .02

Thanks

Thanks very much for the responses. I think that the SRX will be the way to go, since it includes laser diffusers...

Had one , loved it

I had one on my STi and I loved it. The Laser shifters on the SRX saved me a few times for sure. I saw the cop pointed right at me and SRX was shifting and he had to try another target. Very stealth and clean install. I installed it. Took about 6 hours mostly due to the mounting of the front laser shifters in a place hard to get behind in the bumber. I did not put it on the G because I could not find a good location to mount the front shifters without tearing up the bumper skin. I opted for the hardwired mirror mount. Not as reliable as the SRX in my opinion but it works well for Ka band here.

Thanks for the reply. I think the laser shifters are a good defense to be nailed with a laser gun. I can find real decent prices online.

Ya, I was looking at that one too, but it's pretty expensive for my budget right now...Price aside, I would buy that one...
