Cheapest way to add bass & still fit a golf bag

So I recently started driving around with my windows down because the weather is warming up!! While I think the stock Bose system is perfect for 90% of my audio needs, it really craps out on the low-end bass with the windows down. It seems like once you turn the volume up about half way, any further increase in volume is restricted to the high-frequency notes while the bass response doesn't increase at all.

Any suggestions on a cheap, easy to install subwoofer that will increase my low-end bass and still allow me to throw a golf bag in the trunk? I'm not looking to blow anyone away or for concert hall sound quality; just a tad more bass. Thanks!!

You could probably do one of those small 10" sub boxes that goes in the back corner of the trunk and fills in that cut out. Or put said clubs in the back seat and put any box you want back there.

i think it's the 4010 enclosure box that will enable you to do that...

If you place a box on either side of the trunk you can almost guarantee yourself the golf bag will not fit. Look for 2 8"s I'm not sure what fits in the back of the trunk.

Precisely! No long irons or woods will fit in the trunk if you take up even the tiniest amount on either side. In fact, I have to take my driver and my 3-wood out of my golf bag just to get the bag into my trunk!

I'll look into the zenclosures... Thanks guys!

Look into the Bass Bazooka'a, I know people rag on them, but for the price and size, they hit pretty good, you can use two and mount them right up against the side walls. They have self powered versions so you won't have to mount an amp or anything else. They come in 6-12" woofer sizes.

Not to mention they are held down by straps so if you have a buddy joining you or you just want it out for extra storage, you just unclip the straps and they come right out. Boxes come out fairly easy, but these are a sinch.

Bazooka'a? Really? You won't have to replace the sub every oil change? As with most "self-powered" stuff I'm assuming the thump would be fairly weak.

I've only had to throw my clubs in the trunk once or twice in my G35 since I live on my golf course but you can get them in the backseat with a towel or even in the front seat worst case. Not sure why you can't get your bag in their but two will fit with standard length drivers/woods.

I have come to find out that I am too much of a bass nut to worry about trunk space now... I just did a phat *** clean install with the Zenclosure box, RF T1 10, and JL 500/1 and though it looks clean as hell.... and sounds great... I feel the need to go with 2 12s or 3 10s.... gahhhhh
