bankruptcy doesn't mean they no long exist. over the last year or so, they have been operating profitably. however, they have tremendous debt and cannot get futher credit in todays credit market. they will probably restructure their debt and continue operations as usual. thats my take on it anyway.

yea, they most likely will just get bought out by companies like EchoStar....i think it's a wise decision to wait until EchoStar takes over (if they do) before subscribing...

Xm

That's prolly why they call me every week asking if I want to renew my subscription. I wish they would just stop reading off a script when they call me and just talk to me, bah...

^worst customer service in the world. They must all be paid on commission and is why they agree with any pricing plan you tell them you want. They are drowning and desperate... Good-bye!

my free trial hasn't expired yet, but I wanted to sign up literally so I can listen to howard stern to and from work. Not quite sure how to go about it and if I can get just him and a few other channels for cheaper?

You can get just the XM music channels for a reduced price and then add the Best of Sirius package to listen to stern.. If you follow the news reports Sirius/XM has been in discussion with to satellite networks(Dish & Direct) and the news also reports Sirius/XM has a third option of considering bankruptcy.. Just sit tight, I personally feel no matter what happens Sirius/XM will not stop broadcasting.. If anyone has any questions about Sirius/XM please feel free to PM me !

is the playboy channel any good??? To be honest... havent been too happy with the radio content through my free trial.. octane and liquid metal are ok. HipHop nation plays the same thing over and over... and Nina9 is just annoying. Chill is all right.. any other decent radio stations?? i find myself listening EspnRadio more than anything else.. which has commercials... i really wanted to like it... but cant seem to find something i like... and ideas??

When the above don't do it for me, i'll tune to Area (close to chill) or i'll head to the commedy stations. Blue Collar is great.

Thanks so much for posting this. This is good information. I still have two free months left so I can wait and see. I also have and xm portable radio that's not up for renewal until July.
XM recently emailed me that I have to renue this month in order to not be charged extra for xm online. I called them and they said that I would have to renue for 2 to 3 years to keep online services free.

I knew something must be up
