Problem with radio when iPod is connected

Hi everyone,

I did a search on this and couldn't find a thread with this issue.

I have a 120gig iPod Classic with current firmware. When I am listening to the iPod and then turn the car off for the night, the next morning when I start the car the audio system is in "off" mode and when I turn it back on, it defaults to some weird AM station. It's like it is resetting itself or something.

This only happens when I am listening to the iPod and turn the car off. If the iPod is plugged in but I am listening to the radio when I turn the car off, everything is fine the next day.

Up until Christmas, I was using an 8 gig iPod nano and didn't have this issue. Any ideas???

does the radio still store all the am/fm/xm stations after it does that? or it completely resets itself?

It still has all of the presets. The audio system is just turned off and when I turn it on defaults to some static AM station. I can simply hit one of my preset buttons and I'm fine. It's just really weird. Like I said, if I shut the car off while listening to the radio it is fine the next day. If I shut the car off while listening to the iPod this happens.

I've never seen that. I run the 120 gig classic, and I almost always turn it off while the iPod is playing. Sounds like a dealership trip is in order.
