My older cousin is going to get his g37 and he's trying to figure out should he get no NAV and just get a Kenwood or and aftermarket Headunit or just get NAV

I don't think you need the tech package at all. tell him to get the Navi and premium package. The tech package isn't important. IMO

keep in mind you lose the 6disc changer when you go with the Nav. I didn't know that.. the HDD isn't that good, i stil prefer using CDs. I have yet to see any real use for the CF card slot as it only limits you to 500ish songs.

It also comes with the voice recognition system. I have yet to use this as well; it was severely gimped out no where, and we get 1/5th of the original commands that were initially available.

So that just leaves the backup cam and the nav itself. The nav is just decent, and the camera rocks. So you tell me, is it worth 2200 for the back-up camera?

I have the nav package, haha. But Its a bunch of mumbo jumbo that i cant really recommend, but i wanted a well-equipped car.

6-Disc vs. 60+, that is a comparable trade off. Whats the difference if you swap out CDs or just record em to your HD in 12 minutes and throw em out of your car?

The non-navi version loses out on the touchscreen.
