since the oem cable that came with my G will no longer charge my 3g iphone, will infiniti release/make a new compatible cable?

 

they probably will for the 09 models.

found this device via another forum. Not sure how this will get the old cable to work with the 3g, but let's keep our fingers crossed that it will work.

I was toying with that very idea. I wanted to wait until it came in and made sure the build quality and functionality were up to snuff. I'll definitely let you know when it arives.

don't have a g yet but it will most likely be blue slate 6mt w/ premium... can't wait

those of you with nav, how do you like it the only reason I am thinking bout nav is to have the back up camera

 

the cable is more of a purpose for the iPods, not the iPhones. I don't see it happening unless they just make an adapter piece in the future

 

Yes you can still play it through audio system but trust me: iPhone 3g won't last long without charging

 

problem also is that you lose the phone capabilities... just buy a separate ipod and stash it in the center console. I have a 160 gb one and I only take it out to add more music to it. I like to think of it as my second dedicated hard drive in the vehicle...

 

I dont hook my iphone up to the car because then you cant use it as a phone.
