G37 double din kits

Are there any G37 double din kits available? I have the non navi premium and I am doing the entire system, but my source is still the factory HU. I would like to go with a double din, or even a single din aftermarket HU if a kit is available.

Aletrnatively, is there another "sensible" location where an aftermarket head unit could be installed?

I have looked but I have not been able to find anything, some help will be greatly appreciated.

i think it's a little too early at this point. plus the fact all the radio displays are in the main screen doesn't help,

If somebody were to make a kit, it wouldn't be cheap. The radio controls and hvac are built in to the front panel together and it is only about a half inch thick. The disc player rests behind it and is about the size of a double din. Like Callaway said, the controls are displayed through the screen in all models. It is possable but highly unlikely anybody will make one for a long time.

That is what I thought, but it was a good idea to give it a shot. I am in the middle of my system's install and the Alpine touch control double din would come in handy as a clean source and to control my processor. In the meantime, the factory cd player and the outboard dsp controller will have to do.

Thanks for the responses.

I really see no need to go aftermarket with your HU. Any type of DSP'ing ability can be ascertained through an added component. I know they came out with a kit for the G35 awhile back and essentially everything worked, so I am sure one will be developed. But if you are just adding an HU for a clean signal, there is no reason to not just use stock. The signal is clean, flat and balanced. I ZERO noise and this is always a potential issue with after market HU installs. An installer friend of mine said that Nissans are notorious for induced noise issues. I don't see why you would even want to possibly deal with that and possibly lose some control functionality. Do your self a favor and stick with stock.
