G37 audio build. *PICS!*

Well, here she is in all her glory. My friend's G37 is now done and made to compete in SQ (IASCA). It has done quite well! I did about 95% of the work with some help from my buddy.

The gear:
2 X Digital Designs 9112's (D4) Sound Quality subwoofers
1 X Digital Designs M3 amplifier. 2400 watts @ 1ohm
1 X Digital Designs S4 staggered amp 2 X 200 and 2 X 100 watts for the fronts (bi-amped at the crossover)
1 X set of Macrom Extreme 6.5's in custom door baffles
1/0 Streetwires power wire
MTX RE-Q for now for hi-low and eq stabilization
10 layers fibreglass top panel and 3/4" - 1" MDF for the lower box portion
Custom MicraLED 6 mm and 12 mm LED strips
Custom Lexan framing panel
Custom synthetic suede top panel
20 sheets of Hushmat for doors and trunk area
Alarm? A very good one!
Retarded amounts of hours involved!

Starting the bottom of the enclosure. I made it so the bottom was removable so I could glass the top part from the inside. Makes for easier smoothing out of the fleece top with a skim coat of body filler.

looks great, is it connected to a aftermarket head unit or something?

Factory head unit and using the MTX RE-Q as the hi-low converter. Looking into the Rockford 360.2 to replace it though. Everything is tuned to the volume of the centre channel (BT unit) so there are some EQ limitations but otherwise it sounds brilliant. Incredible mid-bass response and because the tweets are soft dome, its very warm and realistic sounding.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Looks really good. Looks like you might have room back there for a golf bag as well.

That is some truly beautiful craftsmanship! I'm still putting my gear together peice by piece so the wife has no idea of how much I'm spending on the audio build. I have no desire to compete, I just want pure sonic purity and as much stealth as possible. Where are you located? If you're anywhere close to Houston or travel here from time to time, I've got a job for you!

So far Ive acquired:
Rockford 360.2
(2) ID10v.3
DLS Ultimate Iridium 6.2

I just need sound dampening, wiring (I have some of it) and amplification (Alpine PDX-4.100 and PDX-1.600). Come do my stealth install!
