Finding Power...

I am looking to install a DVD player, and need Power! Do I need to buy a convertor? I had a convertor in my G35 (where i previously had a PS2) and am looking to do the same, just rather not do power convertor. If there is an easier way, how?

Also, to not create multiple threads, I am also looking to H.I.D.'s on the "Fog's", and install real fogs on the lower bumper. Is there a such thing as REAL fogs for the lower bumper, and where is a cheap and good area to buy Stock looking - H.I.D.'s?

Thanks,
Dave

You can only get 12Vdc out of the car. Anything else will require a converter.

Go and get yourself a slimline ps2. They fit in the glove box and you can buy a car adapter for the power. I just installed one in my car this last weekend and it works great, no skipping or anything.

yeah the slimline probably fits in the 5at armrest which i hear is bigger? i highly doubt it fits in the 6mt armrest...can anyone confirm?

or did u mean glovebox because then wouldnt wiring need to go to the armrest for the AV cables??? I figured near the armrest compartment would be best since there are AV plugs and power socket all there.

No the armrest is too small for the PS2. I put it in the glove box and ran the RCA's to the armrest and ran a wire up to the battery for the power.

And just search Ebay for the PS2 car adapter.
