Has anyone installed a laser jammer in their G37? If so, which one and how did the install go? Did you have to alter/cut the grill etc?? Where and how did you mount the rear heads? Any information or pics would be great. I am considering getting a Laser Interceptor quad head system when I get my G and would like to see how everyone else did the install with their jammer.

i have the passport ZR3 with an X50 shifters are in the front grill and one on the plate no mods needed

 

what about the rear? you diddnt install them there?

 

its only one and it attaches right above your plate using the plate bolts...

 

Does the laser jammer really work??? doesnt cops get like new upgrades all the time???

It thought about getting the ZR3 for my x50 to complete the setup, but when I researched, RadarBusters noted that it didn't perform well against LaserAtlanta's SpeedLaser Type 3 gun. Unfortunately this is a very commonly used gun across the State of Georgia.

 

i thing i read somewhere that there will be a law that will prohibit the use of these stuff ,, im not sure when it will take effect ,,, mybe a hoax

 

I have had no issues what so ever. Also Escort released a new version that is suppose to work on all new laser . i am going to switch it over

 

UNV-IT46....Nice install pics of the ZR3. Looks stealth and clean. Anyone else with any pics? Need as many ideas as possible. I wonder if the heads of the LI(laser interceptor) will fill fit in the grill without cutting.

 

oh man, nice thread... i have been going back and forth with this too... and how i will install it.

Im just worried about installing it perfectly level, and straight. I was thinking to install the heads in the center opening of the bumper cover below the grill.
I have the sport bumper and no front plate.

I dont even wanna get into tryin to install it in the grill cuz it seems hard, and i dont want it's view obstructed by anything... but im still clueless when it comes to installing these.

Right now im considering the Laser Interceptor or Laser Pro Park... but waiting for more testing and the Escort ZR4 to come out this spring.

 

i hate georgia cops...i wish they would all just blow up....would escort be the best laser for cops...and i hope ur wrong blackjack..

 

eddieconfetti3, I know what you mean about the Georgia cops. I wish they would be a little more understanding sometimes too. As far as the laser jammer, I am no expert by any means, but as it stands, Escort, in my opinion is not the best jammer out there. From my research and readings, Laser interceptor or LPP is currently a better choice. Escort is putting out a ZR4 jammer. It may end up being a front runner. Nobody knows yet.

 

Same here... GA cops SUCK. I hope I'm wrong. Just stating what came back in testing. Many districts use LaserAtlanta products and RadarBusters noted that the ZR3 had some issues with those. As for the detectors... I LOVE MY ESCORT!!
