alarm

does the G come w/ any sort of alarm? if somebody comes up to the car and does a smash and grab, will the horn go off/lights flash?

the stock alarm on the G37 (any Infiniti/Nissan for that matter) is lame.

They make a shock sensor add on for the G35, I wonder if it will work on ours?

I'd love a shock sensor... DEI makes it. I'm sure it could be done.

I honestly doubt it.. In my Audi there was a motion sensor in the rear view mirror, another option we could use.

Dealer offered to add shock sensors and engine kill for an arm and a leg. I'm hoping within the next several months there will be some sort of third party component that integrates with our current security system.

see, what im trying to figure out is--EXACTLY WHAT IS OUR CURRENT SECURITY SYSTEM? multiple people have replied saying its crap, but what exactly does it do, if anything at all? does anybody kno that?

If someone tried to open the door, hood or trunk, the alarm goes off. Thats it. if someone smashes your window, but does not open your door, they will be able to steal your purse shmad, so make sure you don't leave it in the car.

nice, this is exactly what i had in mind. just adding shock sensors to our stock lame alarm makes it a full fledged alarm for less than 200 (if u have somebody do it for you).
