Which iPod?

Which iPod would fit best into the console? Basically, which iPod would be the best fit for the G37?

Any iPod.

The Touch or Classic iPod is not too large to fit.

If you're that worried about size, you can't go wrong with the new Nano

It's the friggin cable that takes up the most space. You would think they could have made it a little more flexible.

To answer your question though....I have a 160 gig classic in mine, and it fits fine.

I purchased the new 8GB Ipod Nano 5 months ago (2" x 2" x 1/4 thick), as it fits great in the center console with plenty of room to spare. I fit 1680 songs on mine, but it depends on the size of your audio files.

Interesting.... Are you using an aftermarket cable? And if so, which one?

I thought about that, but I like controlling the ipod through the radio. After setting up the genres for each letter, it's not so bad finding music now. Plus I like the fact that the interface cable charges the unit.

I bout Ipod Classic first but it was kinda big for mr personally cuz i keep some stuff in my console and then i bout Ipod Nano with 8G and it works for me just fine. I keep my Ipod and component video cables in my console and i can listen music and watch videos when im bored. BTW component video cables takes a lot of space in my console.

Does the Ipod not get charged when it is playing in the console? I've noticed my battery is dead more than usual.

I've had my Ipod in the car since I bought it, and never had any issues with it not charging. Obviously if you are using RCA or component cables it won't charge.

Which iPod are you using? Because some of them (like the 2nd Gen Nano, possibly others) weren't shutting off when the car was off, which led to the dead battery. I know this from first hand experience but now I'm fine with my Classic.

I have the 30Gig classic. It must be staying on cause when I drive I'm listening to my Ipod. So the Ipod is on when I'm not in the car? Do you guys unplug it when you're not in the car, is that the solution?
