Sounds like ground loop whine. Are you using an MP3 player with the RCA inputs and charging/powering the MP3 player with the 12v accessory/cig lighter port?
If so, try not charging at the same time or install a ground loop isolator.
That's all I can suggest...

I know of no such specific isolator, shouldn't need one either.
If your only using an Ipod with the factory cabling, nothing else/aftermarket hooked up at all, I'd say take it in for a warranty issue. Do you know if it only happens when using the Ipod?

I use a classic, and have no high pitched sounds or any other sounds that don't belong at all. I'm very sensitive to those types of noises too, often being the first and sometimes the only person to hear an interference.

I have a system installed and I can clearly hear the static noise. I usually have music on so it doesn't bother me. I was told the static comes from the radio.

If you can clearly hear it all the time it should make it easier to replicate for the dealer when you bring it in.

Alternator whine? When you sit still and rev the engine, does it get louder and more high pitched with your revs?

So you've ruled out the alternator. I wouldn't think that would be it on a new car with no aftermarket equipment, but you want to rule out everything you know it isn't.

Just take it to the dealer. Its obviously some kind of grounding issue they need to fix.

I've heard of this noise in GM cars. My dad has an Astro Van that does this. It's electronics noise and sounds more apparent when the air conditioner or heater is on, especially from the outside.

So after taking a drive and hearing it again and again i took it back to the dealer. They for some reason do not hear what i hear and its extremely frustrating. Either i'm goin nuts or these guys refuse to the high pitch hiss coming out of the speakers. its so bad right now my ears are ringing from it like i was just at a loud concert. anyway i can kill the power to the speakers till i resolve this issue?
