On both of the ipods you tested? Ahh well, at least you're only out 5-6 bucks. Thanks though.

Rat Shack, I mean Radio Shack is usually pretty good for decently priced cables, and I see ipod cables on their website, but it would probably be better to stop by a store...

I'm tapped out for money this year, so I can't be the guinea pig, sorry.

I tried only the Classic, I am pretty sure the Video will work, and the cable for the Video's they work from the top Headphone Jack,

You can buy this for the Video:

I will still try the Video with the cable I bought, And if someone wants it for there video $4 paypal to me and I will ship it out, it has no use for me, and I will just lose $2 buts its ok

Anyone has a definite answer on this? Santa got me a new iPod and I know for a fact that the video does not work with the short cable that came with my G.

You need the apple composite cable for video out on the new ipods.

I'd get your cable, but I forgot, if I'm gonna pick up a cheap a/v cable for my 80gb ipod video, it has to work with the new 8gb ipod nano I got my girlfriend for her birthday.

Thanks though.

Ya, just so you guys know that cheap cable doesn't work for video on the newer IPods like the classic. You will need that $50 cable that Apple sells to get it to work. I don't remember if that cable works for all the new IPods but I think it does. It just sucks that it is $50 bucks.

I still agree that $50 is a lot for a cable, but I think part of the reason it is so much more expensive is that it also comes with a wall charger.

It does? I don't remember that. I am going to have to look up that cable and take a look again.

Here is the link that IP37 posted for the cable.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1188561003671

Mottra, it doesn't come with a wall charger but it does have the USB connection off of it so you can plug it into the wall charger or car charger.

EDIT: I just looked closer at the product on Best Buy and it does say it comes with "USB power adapter, user guide" under the specifications. Stupid pictures...I guess you have to read to.
