I wouldn't be worried buying a G37....yes the stereo had some work done ,but there were a couple of electrical issues prior to that so I am confident it's not the stereo concern.

yeah there shouldnt be any problem with doing a simple install or any stereo install with this car i had mine done with help of my shop and had no issues basic setup like anyother car out there so those in worry mode dont be its not a major issue its most likely a one off problem

actually it makes sense... everytime u disconnect the battery and reconnect you have a chance that you could blow fuses and probably what happened to you was when installing the system you reconnected the battery and blew a fuse plus you probably didnt secure the connection with the battery. also could be a theft control device on the G37.

i post this somewhere else but it could obtain to you...

The end of the story....It was a fuse in the fuse block which is located next to the battery. How it happened?? Not sure. But a good one to put in your back pocket....so if everything works except for the engine gauges and the starter check this. Always Something!!
