iPhone as my "iPod"

When I plug my iPhone in to the iPod G jack it says the iPhone was not designed to be used with Infiniti.. Does anyone know what we can do to be able to use the music and movies from our iPhone? I did not unlock or jailbreak my phone, if anyone has can they try and see if it works then.. Do you think this has something to do with the Infiniti media or a lock from Apple/ATT in the iPhone software.. I'm having a hard time using my iPod, seems like the connector in my iPod is loose maybe it only seems to connect when I keep it taunt and an angle, very annoying and I do not want to my another iPod!

Hey man,

It says that, yeah. But it just prompts you to disable the radio.. just tap the no button to leave your cell radio on.

It works like a champ - I haven't even bothered to bring my iPod with me yet, as the iPhone works so well.

Now, this is audio only. To get video you have to use the rca adapter I believe.. which I do not have.

Ok, I plugged in my iPhone and it did nothing at all.. I even plugged my iPod in and it did nothing too.. I'm probably gunna go buy another 80GB I think the connector on my old iPod is loose or messed up somehow. I doubt its the cord from Infiniti or the jack? Anyone else have this problem? I get no mesage on my iPhone now.. Oh and I put it in flight mode and ATT and back and forth and still nothing.

Im not sure.. Im gunna phunk with it tomorrow before I go buy another iPod. That music box is kinda annoying I had no idea you ripped the music from CDs I was thinking I would hook my laptop up and copy songs. I can't even record just the songs I want. Gotta get the flash drive too. One thing about this car between XM, iPod, HD's, Flash drives, theres always music! Now if someon could figure out how to allow us to use the Nav and A/V while the car is moving, that would be a sweet deal.

Once that happens I'm ditching my 2nd gen. Nano for either the new fatty one or an 80gb classic

The phone offers to turn off the radio which is very useful when you drop it into a dock with an amplifier built in. The cell radio signals induce noise at high volume into your amp and then into your wifes ears. This produces negative results. Nobody wants that.

this may be idiotic to ask but are you sure you are plugging the iPhone in corectly? The 'jack' has to be face up, i believe there is an arrow on the top side and that should insert into the iPhone with it's face up as well......this seems obvious but maybe over looked
