When you load a cd into the slot you will have 2 button/words come up. One will says cd/rec. and the other will say text. Use the jog wheel or just press the screen to indicate you want to rip cd. It will then start ripping and usually takes less than 5 minutes. It will indicate on the screen how many songs has been ripped from the disc until it reaches the end. Hope this helps you buddy.

There is also a setting somewhere to automaticly record the CD's when you insert them.

Does it also copy mp3's, or is it just actual audio cd files?

You have to record the whole CD and then delete the tracks you dont want. Its not the most logical or easily navigated system but for me its a good back up if I forget my iPod....

Does anyone know how to delete specific tracks? Another question I have is how to label the whole CD you recorded.
