You get 3 months. XM should be sending you a letter reminding you of this. The service afterward is $12.95 plus $3.99 for the traffic option.

Yup. Without the XM radio option, it's $9.95 per month.

In my area it blows... and I live in Miami. I will certainly not get it when my subscription is over...

Depends on where you live and what the coverage is like. I live in the SF Bay Area. It rocks, hard.

I live in LA and it already has saved me from gettig stuck in traffic many times, very cool shows an icon of an overturned car on the freeway when an accident is detected. Also your navigation will rout around an accident when a destination is entered.

Either I'm using it wrong or there is no coverage in my area, but I never anything traffic info. The feature is turned on, all the the options are checked. I live in the Philly metro area by the way.

you should have it Callaway next time you are on the freeway look at your map and a color line should apprear oneither side of the freeway it will either be Green for clear traffis, yellow for slowing traffic or red for stop and go traffic. Yellow icons appear on the freeway for accidents and sig alerts.

You're not on the coverage list buddy. I don't think. http://www.xmradio.com/navtraffic/market_coverage.xmc

I know I will be next year by February

Edit: Nevermind, I take that back... I just checked and we are on the list

But I like Sirius better!

Works beautifully in Houston, there is flow and incident reporting. Accidents show up within a few minutes and tells you what lane is blocked so you can start jumping over ahead of time. I have my navi set up where the Plan View is a zoomed out view of the metro area so before I start trips I do a quick check for traffic incidents. The XM website only shows the major freeways are covered but Ive seen reports on some other major-non freeway type roads.
