Original Equipment Tires?

Need new tires for my 2012 G37 Sedan daily driver w/46K miles. Some decent all season tires available for ~$125 each. The OE are "Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1-A A/S Ultra High Performance All-Season" at $250 each. Just wondering is the price difference is worth it. I live is Texas so snow is rare, rain is expected along with high temps late spring to fall. What if any is the performance difference? Also any reco's on tire deals would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response. Much appreciated!

Why do you need all-season? I myself am contemplating switching to summer tires year round, and my climate is probably worse than yours.

OE tires are never worth it IMO. There is much better out there for a better price. Check ratings on tirerack.com. You could get honestly get away with ultra high performance summer tires in Texas.

Great point! The snow is really a few days out of the year. Will look into the Summer performance tires. Thanks!

Summer tires will really transform your G, many good ones to choose from. These are excellent Summer tires and they ship out of Texas, so should get them ASAP
Ask for Andrew over there and mention myG37 for nice prices

A summer tire will handle better, take corners better, and be more fun to drive. However, you'll trade ride, noise, and wear to get that. All seasons will trade some handling for better life, ride, and cold weather ability. There are a couple Jack of All Trades which do a bit of everything like the Michelin Pilot Sport AS-3 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy AS. Those are on the higher end performance end but w/out the quicker wear and such of a dedicated summer.

I don't think the oe tire is worth the price. There's better tires out there for less cost.

Make use of Discount Tire's current $100 off $400 sale on eBay, not sure when expires but probably any day now
discounttiredirect | eBay

get two sets of two tires where each set adds up to over $400. They had a great price on Pilot Super Sports but I don't see them anymore, may be out of stock. Think Ventus V12 is still in stock.
