G/Z CHICAGO IL/IA/WI Cruise

20% chance of rain in spots on Sunday according to noaa.
A few have pm'd if they need to complete the entire route. That's entirely up to you. All I ask that that you let me know so we're not wondering how we lost a car. The part before lunch isn't bad either. Galena might be a good turning point. Plenty of eateries on Main street. We still depart the meet spot at 0700.

Turn out? LOL!
I picked up my motorcycling buddy early along the way. That was it. I think the distance probably deterred most folks from coming. The last 150 miles or so I was on autopilot myself. The bad part of chicago is needing to travel 3hours in any direction to find such roads. Leaving early did allow for practically no traffic on the backroads.
The only wildlife encounter was some bird managing to crap at just the right time to land on the roof.
I'm still in awe of the stupidity seen on the interstates. Way too many drivers use the left lane for purposes other than passing and 1/4 sec following distances.

@kenny I have 2 64gb sd cards full of video, ~14 hours worth. I'll go through it in the coming weeks and try to put together a highlights segment. A lot of it is great to drive but doesn't translate into exciting video. As they say, should of been there
@dradams Pick a date next month after july 4th. Less traffic on sundays and is preferred. I won't do this exact route again but a shorter variation is doable. I already have some ideas that will shorten it but still keep it interesting.
Btw, this actually turned out to be a 4 state gig. We were in MN for a whole 24 miles.

@JSolo - I just need to fix this SES P0106 problem and get 4 new tires and I'll be ready to roll. Probably august or late July before I get tires, potentially earlier if I find some nice ones on sale at tirerack.com.
