I’m selling the four Akebono calipers off my 2011 G37S Sedan for $500 shipped within the continental US. Having recently purchased a doner set for a powder coat project, these are my original equipment calipers. They have 53,000 miles on them, with original pistons, seals, dust boots and rings, having never been rebuilt. Brake pads are not included.

You’ll see from the pics below that the finish on the front-facing sides is very good. The only flaws are a small chip on one of the rears at the bleeder, and a very small nick in the paint around the cylinder on the other rear. Otherwise, the original finish is fantastic and better than normal after 53k miles.

Note the frontside 10mm bleeder valves are original, but the backside bleeders are brand new from Z1 Motorsports. I didn’t use them in my project because the 11mm hex on the Z1 bleeders was awkward to access on the front. However, they work perfectly on the backside… which is something I didn’t think of until after my project was done, so now they’re just left over. They cost $60 shipped, and I feel like an idiot about it all, but they’re yours for free in a pay-it-forward moment. The original pad plates and pins are also included, but honestly just go buy new ones. It’s not worth the effort to clean these up, and they’re like $25 total for all four sets.

You can use these calipers for a powder coat project of your own, in which case you’ll be rebuilding the cylinders, or you can clean and paint them while fully assembled, or you could use them as-is for a BBK upgrade. Whatever you want, it’s your business. But if you’re upgrading your non-Sport sliding calipers to these, it’s on you to research that upgrade because I don’t have any advice for a project like that.

Browse around for a used set, you’ll find more expensive asks for lots of damaged calipers. These aren’t that; they’re clean and solid. For shipment, they will arrive in two separate boxes, a large one for the fronts and a smaller one for the rears. Within each box are two more boxes, one for each caliper, bubble wrapped.

$500 shipped is a fair number, and pay-if-forward on the forum is a good place to be, so PM me if you’re interested. The price is firm… unless you’re up north of the border, in which case it probably goes up to offset Canadian shipping.

Lastly, I’m the Admin here, and I’d prefer to sell these to an active forum member. Just be sincere and respectful, and this will be a smooth transaction.
