I live in Boston so i can not show you, but i would not recommend it. I have it done right now, it is pretty loud, had slight trouble getting an inspection sticker AND the drone at 3000 RPM goes right through your brain, mainly when your casually taking off from a start.

Moral of the story, do not cheap out like me, its going to cost me more than a regular exhaust to get it fixed.

Loud is subjective , let OP decide that. I wouldn't consider the muffler delete drone bad at all . But once again , that's subjective. I've had "regular" exhausts systems that droned louder than my muffler delete which was my first setup .

Nothing wrong with a muffler delete . There are a tom of other platforms where muffler deletes are sold as a bolt on item instead of having to get it done custom . It just has a negative stigma on this forum. My guess ? So people can rationalize their spending on a expensive exhaust system . The performance gain from a catback system is negligible , especially untuned .

Top Speed is coming out with a bolt on muffler delete soon , not sure when .

I have a muffler delete on mine right now. I have done it at home though. As for the sound, it sounds very good and I'm not even considering buying an expensive exhaust to get a similar sound. A cold start is loud but otherwise it's still a bit too quiet for me

My fear is that its going to sound like some POS civic and have a rice sound to it. Is that the case or is it deeper?

Just unbolt your mufflers and take them off. Should take maybe 15 min to do this.

Do this. Just take the mufflers off and drive around a bit. If you don't like the sound just put them back on. The tips I bought from canadian tire, i think they were 3" or 3.5"

So I took the mufflers off on Sunday and in my automatic it's shifting gears different and harder. Any reasons why? I like the sound but will it change after getting pipes and tips?
