So... my guess is that 70% tint will look almost exactly like a factory-tinted window. The only "benefit" would be added UV protection.

IIRC, his meter registered the untinted windows at 74%. For some reason, I didn't commit that number to memory, kind of caught up in the moment realizing my tint had to come off.

These are before and after pictures of 20% tint all around on a Moonlight white exterior with the Stone interior. Pictures with tint were taken on a sunny day...

A friend of mine installed it for me as I was to scared to venture in that department lol, when my car was at the garage recently the mechanic ripped the bottom part on the driver's side and they reinstalled it for me. They were chocked to see it was 5% in the front, they usually install 5% in the back never in the front.
I also heard from the guy that tinted my windows that some tinted they moon roof also.
The shop wanted $250 I think but he charged $70

I wonder... if self-tinting is a reasonable cost, and a straight-forward process, then doing this stupid New York dance each year might not be that big of a deal. I would even do all four doors, and not just the back doors, although likely in 40%, and not 15% like what I had.
Hmm... thinking... thinking...
