Keyfob is lost somewhere inside of car

It is very frustrating. I drove around all day yesterday with the key inside the car somewhere. Of course it won't let me lock the doors. I got out the spare key fob last night and was using it to lock the doors. I have looked several times in all of the following places:
Glove compartment, console, ashtrays, cupholder, sunglasses holder, abyss between the seats and the console, under the chair rails, inside the gas cap, under the floor mats (actually took them out and vacuumed), inside the door compartments, under the seats with a flashlight front and back, in the crevice between the seat and chair back on both sides, along the edge of the seats by the door on both sides. In the crevice around the back seat seat belts, on the back dashboard, on the front dashboard, under the accelerator pedal, all through the trunk.

Anyone have any ideas?

It will show up after you pay to have a replacement programmed.
It happened to the wife and it showed up in the car more than a year later
Must have been wedged somewhere?
Try betting wife/gf $20 to find it

have you worked on the car at all... could be in the engine bay or may have dropped in the pan..
check obvious places also... on person.. on the key slot.. nearby the car where you may have dropped it... etc
maybe perhaps unbolt the seat in case its wedge in a place where you cant see it..

Think about what you were doing when you realized it was lost. Just driving? Cleaning the car? Working in the engine bay? You can maybe localize it that way.

I lost my house keys one night and I turned the entire car upside down (and the area around the car, in case I lost them outside). I eventually found them. Apparently I placed them on top of the cup holder door (cup holder was closed), and they somehow slipped down BEHIND the cup holder when someone accidentally opened it. Man, was that frustrating!

Need to find out where these ended up being. Stuck behind the cupholder is a tough break.

Thanks CRiME

That is exactly where it was. It had gotten lodged in the area where the cup holder door goes when it is open.
