Ok, I'm searching and everyone gives ideas but there is no strong opinions on which to go with. Need to order some today too since the car is going in the shop Wednesday. Any help/ideas is greatly appreciated.

That said; which ones to you strongly recommend I go with for the g37 Sport sedan? Looking for minimal dust and an OEM feel but maybe better grip or stopping power.

Also, are these Sport rotors good for one resurfacing or do I need new rotors? Car only has 30,000 but I'm getting vibration when I hit the brakes.

Typically, better stopping power and minimal dust don't go with each other. Minimal dust would be ceramic pads, but you lose stopping power. When it's time for mine, I will be going with Hawk pads. I've been looking at the cryo rotors when it's time to replace those, but will decide that later

With regards to the vibration, it's usually bad or no bed in along with getting rid of the OEM pads from what I understand. Many have gone with Hawk or other higher end pads and after bedding in have no longer experienced the brake vibration or "shudder". I'm sure someone else will give some more concrete experience for you. Good luck and keep us posted with regards to the vibration issue when you're done.

Whichever you decide, just make sure to bed them in properly.

If you are still under warranty you can get that pulsing fixed for free by the dealer. They performed this service for me twice on my coupe and just did it on my sedan. They replace the brake pads and resurface the rotors...all covered under warranty.

i don't see how pads and rotors are covered under warranty since they are considered "wear and tear" items. but more details how you got it covered

RacingBrake ET500 pads. Extremely low dust, much better than stock, and no noise. I've run mine for 40k miles with zero issues and non-existent rotor wear.

Lots of pad choices for the sport brakes:

Endless
Project Mu
Carbotech
EBC
Stoptech
NISMO
Hawk

Increased stopping power + fade resistance = brake dust

The stock pads are quiet, long lasting and clean. The problem is, driven hard, they over heat, glaze over, fade out, and leave deposits on the rotors that most people mistakenly interpret as warped rotors.

I'm about to install my second set of the optional OE R-Spec pads. At $200 F/R they are a nice upgrade from OE. They're more dusty than stock, and I only got 25k out of the set.

If I'm correct (Im not gonna lie, I never had a car with ANY warranty left), Was it listed as a malfunction problem? Cause from what I read, B2B doesn't cover wear and tear items but they do malfunctions. Since the brakes were pulsating, is that considered a malfunction? And for parts and labor, I thought that was all free?

My bad for my lack of knowledge regarding warranty haha

Rockauto has Akebono Pro-ACT pads that give the OEM feel. They are cheaper than most name brand pads.

Hi guys,

A newbie to this forum. Just got myself a G37S sedan here. Just got a question regarding about aftermarket rotor. For the Akebono or Stoptech rotor, do you need to turn the rotor the next brake change or is it kind of like a one time use rotor where you have to change another one for the second or third brake pad change?

No need to turn rotors unless you're experiencing any vibrations. Never had mine turned and it's a 2010 on it's second pad of brakes at 51,000 miles.
