im guessing you want to program your car. you have to order a new remote. they are cheap on amazon. once you get a remote programmed to your lift, you can program your homelink to your garage door opener.

Oh man you guys are too funny. My browser shut down mid-post and I didn't realize that it posted haha
Well thanks for all the replies anyway! I was wondering if the Homelink can be triggered remotely, as in from the key fob or something. I know it's a longshot but if the garage is programmed to the car it would be nice to be able to activate the garage door from outside the car.
Thank

That is a longshot. I'm sure it can be done, but why not just get a wall mounted keypad for the outside of your home?

You could also look into a smartphone app (Iphone or Android) for your opener. Some require a whole new opener system while others only add hardware to your existing set-up.

* Craftsman AssureLink
* Garageio
* GD Mate
* NioGarage
* GoGoGate
* SecuRemote
* Liftmaster MyQ
* miDoor

^^^
I have the identical model garage door opener mounted behind the garage.

Coincidentally, the keypad combination is exactly the same as my luggage.
