I think DRL's are a little played out, but those look legit. If i had an 09, I'd install those!

Agreed on both opinions.

What I like about these is that they're an integrated kit. Pop out the OEM panel and pop in the new one (with electrical power somewhere, natch). Just from the larger pictures on that ebay sale, they look relatively OEM.

I say go for it. Worse case, you resell them in a FS thread for a reasonable loss.

When I first saw those I was like wow, very impressive but when I heard and saw they were able to do the front bumper conversion to a 2010-13 that fcked me up lol, now I'm saving for the front bumper conversion. You should look into that .

Ah. I didn't know that. Funny thing is, the non-Sport 2010+ fog inserts are also part of the bumper. However, the fog insert section on the 2010+ Sport bumper is a separate, removable piece.

Bunch of weird manufacturing decisions going on here.

I wonder if those would actually go over the mesh covers? It looks like that may be the case. If so it's not a bad deal, although something would have to be done about that chrome

they wont go over the mesh.. you would have to cut out the piece that is there first..
the second problem is that you would have to relocate or move back the washer reservoir for these to fit in.

as far as the chrome, the best thing would be to plasti-dip it black...

blnewt ...from what I read in the listing, you get rid of the factory valance/mesh and install the DRLs with a new valance.

tbulsara...have you tried to remove the valance/mesh?

I just noticed....These DRLs will not fit on Sport bumper or models with technology package.

I do not have a sport but I have the Premium and Navi Packages. What is the Tech Package?

The bottom mesh does not come out.. it is molded with to the bumper...
What they mean by tech package is some of the models came with adaptive cruise control and for that, it uses half of the mesh on one side for the radar... so wont work with that....

here is one guy that has already done these.. i would try to get in contact with him.. keep in mind this thread is old....

Can I remove bumper inserts or replace them? - G35Driver

These look better than any other option I've seen, would consider if I had the older frontend (like BL said, blacking out the chrome would help)

Certainly a better design than the OEM LEDs for the 2010+ frontend, maybe they'll develop something for us, would at least be interested in seeing what they could come up with

I like them. Helps to modernize the front end a bit.
