I am taking my car in for service next week for this issue. Such a shame it is going in with only 500 miles on it. Hopefully they can fix it but a few questions:

1. Has there been any resolution to this issue? Seems like a few people had their speakers replaced but I have a brand new 2009 so i dont see how new speakers would help me considering i got the car last week.

2. What does it take for Infiniti to get on this issue and make it a TSB? It is obvious many cars are having this issue, is sending this poll/thread enough?

I will keep this posted with the results!

Any chance anyone can get a recording of what they're hearing -- i'm convinced i don't have this issue in my vehicle.

It's probably a very high pitch sound like one you would try hear in a hearing test. I've had a couple of G37X loaners and I have never heard this sound. I tend to hear sounds of low and high frequencies that others, my wife included, don't hear.

Also I always drive with the radio on and a window either completely or partially open, even with the A/C on. I do this so I don't have to listen to some of the weird interior noises the G makes.

Well add me to the list of dealer cant fix this issue. Took it in today, and 7 hours later and about 50 miles of "road test" by the mechanic they said they heard nothing. did it really take THAT long to determine that. I suspect they were joyriding or whatever. They said I can have a tech ride along with me but if there is no fix for it, i dont see the point right now

i have an 08 G35 sedan and have this noise too!!

noise seems to come and go. only audible when the windows are closed and the radio is OFF. audible even when parked. Noise is only there when the engine is running and usually only comes when the engine is warmed up but lately it seems I can hear it even after a cold start.

is there a TSB for this? No mention on this noise of G35driver...

So I tried taking the amp fuses out and driving around and it still made the noise. This should have cut all the power to the speakers so I'm assuming this sound is not coming from the speakers. This means the sound can be coming from anywhere! We need to do something about this! any ideas

I wonder if this noise is coming from soemthing like the electrical firing pulse to the fuel injectors. Sometimes speakers (even when off) can rectify that electrical pulse and make a whine.

Also are we sure this isn't the ignition causing this?

does the pitch vary with RPM?

I just called Infiniti Consumer Affairs to report it. The lady was very helpful and said that it's good that everyone who has the issue call in and report it so they can get working on the issue. FYI, my noise is a very high pitched whine (higher pitched than any alternator noise I've ever personally experienced) and is extremely faint. I can only hear it with the car under acceleration at about 77 to 82 MPH. Never at idle or when coasting at that speed.

I took it upon myself to try and figure this issue out. Since it sounded like it was coming from the right speakers, I took the door panel off and disconnected the speakers. Drove around and the sound was still there!! Makes me believe it is some noise from engine that is coming into the cabin but what???

The noise actually comes from the front Passenger side floor wall near the Navi. Sound comes out from inside the vent.

could it be some internal vent opening, or do you think the vent is just a conduit for the sound coming from the engine bay?

Hmm so it seems we narrowed down this area of the noise. I havent the slightest clue though what could be causing this sound. I hope you guys all called infiniti about this sound! i hope everyday for a tsb
