2009 G37x sedan dyno
Here is my very disappointing dyno graph I had done yesterday. Brian at APH in Markham says there should have been more HP but couldn't find any more?? He says possible bad spark plug/s ?? As the torque graph spikes should be smoother apparently?? Air filters are a week old, had a synthetic oil change done the day before. I was hoping for around 285 hp with my mods. But not even fn close ... A total waste of money and time in my eyes... Now I get to listen to the car crackle every time I let off the gas ... Omg... It drives me nuts !!!

Drop A Gear and Disappear

i gained 19whp and 9wtq after being tuned with my headers
do all your mods first before you go to gears as it will affect your dyno numbers..

Pulleys are on the way. Ordered Oct.6 and still have not arrived nor have received a shipping confirmation. Horrible service from NST
Lightweight wheels and tires should help free up some HP/TQ to the wheels.
After that, the bored TB and headers can get me up to 320whp, which would be ~65whp increase and the torque can easily get to ~265.
I don't think the gears have any effect on HP/TQ gains, since it just shifts the curve to the left and changes the 1:1 dyno ratio. At least that is what I understood from everything I read about gears.

Don't hate me for this but here are the results from an UpRev tune on my 2007 G35x. I had Berk HFC's, a Megan Y-Pipe, and diy grounding kit installed before arriving, so that is the baseline comparison. You're probably thinking to yourself "el_donks, this is the G37 forum. What are you doing here?" to which I disclaim that the G35driver forum seems pretty ghostly these days (for second gen) and besides, the car is basically a G37 Jr Also, don't mind the torque spike at the start. No idea why that happened but the max torque is more like 255 ftlbs.
