How to remove scratches from Infiniti G37s shifter
Below is a step by step walk-through on how I removed the scratches from 2008 Infiniti 37S.
Step 1: Remove the shifter ****. Pull down the silver bezel ring until it and the leather boot slide down. You should see the retainer clip at the bottom of the shifter ****.
Step 2: Remove the retainer clip. Use a pair of pliers and pull the retainer clip straight out.
Step 3: Get painters tape and a bag of course and fine steel wool (I got mine from Lowes).
Step 4: Tape off the leather area around the chrome with the painters tape.
Step 5: Use the course steel wool and LIGHTLY sand with the grain. Once all of the clear coat is gone use the fine steel wool the same way.
Step 6: Put back on the shifter ****. Slide **** back on shifter and replace the retaining pin. DONE!!
I am not saying to do this, its just what I did.... I am not responsible for any damage you do to your car.
