There should be no reason why this mod will mess anything up. The TCM
is just getting a signal no matter where the switch is coming from just as long as it gets a signal.

Ok to remove the pins all you have to do is remove the lock on the front of the connector. To remove the lock you would have to pry it up with a small
pick. When you got the lock removed then the next step is to locate the terminals and lift up the plastic lock right above the terminal in the connector. When the lock is lifted then the termianl pin can be removed from pulling it from the rear of the connector. Hope this helps....

I've done everything up to the pin part. I spent a couple of time trying to remove the cables but wasn't able. I'll probably end up buying a terminal pin remover tool or something.

to remove the trim around the shift ****, does it have to be in Drive or in Park?

like when you pull the whole thing out

its just a mod and also feels alot better when you upshift by pulling down the shifter.

Thanks! 12fear now i understand the whole instruction.I use to opened the shift couple time with no ploblems.Get me thinking to reverse but i got use to it already.
