Waxing Wheels

I bought some Avant Garde M368 and although I dont see much salt or snow do people was their wheels? Ive seen people use this

Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant
Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0

I now was thinking about selling stock rim instead of keeping them for winter. Anybody use another product or feel I dont need to worry as much about it?

I put sealant on my wheels about once every month or two. It makes brake dust easy to clean and keeps my wheels looking very shiny in between washes with a quick detailer/waterless wash.

What sealant are you using? What's best to protect during winter, salted roads, months?

There are many sealants that can be used for wheels and all will work pretty well, but as was mentioned above, it's probably best to do it often as the protection won't last as it will on paint. For this reason, it may be better to look into something like the OptiCoat 2.0 you mentioned as it should last a lot longer than a sealant, keeping the wheels cleaner and also making them easier to clean.

Hope that helps!

on my car I have tried the poor boys and 22ple VM1. honestly, they both worked extremely well. I might even admit the poor boys (much much cheaper) worked better but it only last 2-3 months while the 22ple VM1 has lasted about 8 months (so far) and was easier/faster to apply. Have not used opticoat 2.0 as of yet. both of these products are fantastic and cant go wrong with either. cleaning the wheels is much easier and they don't get as dirty from brake dust between washes.
