You know I thought that Rarity was a very clever name when I first saw your thread.

I have a 3 year old little girl and I know the ponys very well.

I thought it was fitting that your car was white. Since, of course, Rarity the pony is white also.

Dude I swear I had no idea that was a pony name. I was so proud of the name and how unique I thought it was until that moment.

Reason was because it is somewhat rare being a 6MT sedan and I made a play on words for the way Infiniti spelled their name so changed the Y in Rarity to an I as well. And I've been using the tag #Rariti in my instagram posts for my car. Now the fun part.

my daughter got a present recently and exclaimed "I love Rariti" when she opened it. My jaw dropped as I asked her to repeat it. She did and I asked what she meant as she held a white my little pony with purple hair. Apparently RARITI is a my little pony name.

So googling #Rariti brings up a mixture of my car and my little ponies....... FML.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOO, well having a 6yr old daughter I am all too familiar with this. That really is a priceless way to find out though, I can only imagine the look on your face

You kidding? I quad-dipped some pics yesterday, LOL. I think what bugs me isn't the multiple nature of pictures, it's the blatant copy & paste of whole comments. Not that what does or doesn't bug me means anything to anyone, nor should it, but there's the explanation anyway. (And to be honest, it's mostly me just teasing 4DRZ for the fun of it.)

I'm not sure how I like that lower-center wrap, but I'll tell you what I do like... which is the way you notched the corners to give it a rounded edge effect. Don't know if that was intentional, but it looks right.

I can't help but wonder what you're going to do when you run out of ideas.

I can't see any images due to being at work.. however I can say with the listed parts and your profile pic I trust that it is truly gorgeous. Question for you, how much do those Verona's weigh? And nice find on the 2013 6mt Sedan!

I can see that. just spamming different threads for attention.
and I know you were semi serious. but I pay attention and try not to annoy TOO many people, particularly those I really respect.

I really wasn't going to get the front lip. I wasn't sold on it but am not going to get a fully custom front end anytime soon and wanted more than I had.
I don't quite understand what corners you are referring to though. it's literally an unmodified OEM lip with just the center piece wrapped where it naturally creases.

and as for ideas, I can't wait until I run out of them. I've spent over $15k in 10 months on this car. I have another $10k to go before I feel it's got everything I want. then i'll be happy and done.

Thank you sir.
that's funny about the images. I've never been able to see a single image Rochester has posted from my work computer. all other images are perfectly visible though.

The veronas are insanely heavy. more so being 20 inches. but I drive my car extremely conservatively. I do a few green light and on ramp pulls with some spirited corners here and there but I fully realize this isn't and never will be a race car. so weight isn't a concern for me. I do not know the exact number though. I believe it's 28-29lbs.

You could have followed the 80* line to a point on each side, but instead you cut it perpendicular to the front, which gives it a more rounded look. Better, too, IMO.

Meh. I'm making too much of a non-thing. Let's see more natural photos of what you did here, OP.

Holy crap. That's about what I've spent in 5 years.

oh I see. what you mean now.
honestly I hadn't considered it any other way. I saw 2 different sedans on various pages with this same mod and knew if I went with the lip this is what I was gonna do. then saw the lines on the lip in person and it just made sense to follow the creases...... so idk.

As for the $, it was going to be spent anyway, I didn't go into any debt to do it, and the VQ scene out here is real. just got into shows with 2017 being my first full year. I gave up my gun buying habit and sold off most of what I had. so why not!? LOL.

Looking nice up front there IRack (BTW, what's your name, I probably got it somewhere but I'm lazy, lol). How much was the ceramic coating cost? Bet that's really something to be seen in person to really appreciate. And not going into debt to enjoy your hobby is truly the way to do it, nice job!

Thank you sir.

My name is because I went to Iraq and came back twice. I spent 23 months there from January 2004 to October 2006 with a 10 month break in between.

The ceramic coat was $800. I know the guy that owns the shop though. He does a great job. It doesn't actually change the appearance of the car at all, especially with a matte body wrap since they can only do a single coat. But it repels dirt and water much better and makes cleanup much easier. ✌️

There are multiple levels of protection.

Bronze package is 1 layer of coating and has a 2yr warranty.
Silver package is 2 layers and has a 5yr warranty.
Gold package is 4 layers and has a lifetime warranty.

Price for bronze is ~$900 after tax with Gold about $2,000.

Sadly for me because I have a matte vinyl wrap on my car I can only do the single layer because if they put more than 1 layer on it will make my car a gloss color instead of matte. Even a single coat makes the vinyl incredibly smooth and water repel off the car. it's amazing.
