Hello guys. In the process of doing this project. I have all of the parts needed and just need a day or two of good weather to get it done. Just wondering if any of the parts gurus here ever found the part number for the switch bezel that has the power folding mirror switch already cutout to fit the coupe. I really do not want to just "dremel" a hole but if I have no choice. Thanks in advance.

You will only be adding two wires- doesn't matter the color. Each will connect the BODY SIDE of the door harness from driver side to passenger side. The DOOR sides of each harness are already pre-wired so you don't need to do anything there at all. Just compare your BODY side connector to the pics in this thread and you will clearly see where the pins will need to be inserted.

As for the auto fold module, I chose not to install it after I bought it so I'm not much help there.

All I need is the bloody trim piece from the Middle East model. Can't get it anywhere!!!!!

So basically, you need to disconnect the connector between the door and the car body. Once you disconnect it, you'll see this:

Noticed the two missing pins that I circled. So you need to run two wires from the driver door to the passenger door. You can insert the missing pins into the harness. The pins can be ordered at: https://tools.nissantechmate.com/en-...> itemID=49883

Hope this helps.

Modme, need your help on the part number for the sleeve pins that mate with the J-48817-217 pins... trying to add two more wires into the mirror housing where I've got an I.R. car cam that I'm trying to connect into the dash via the harness.

The "male pins" for the body side are: J-48817-217;
The "female sleeves" for the door side are: J-48817-216.

I'm also in the process of adding wires for the JDM Mirror Winkers.

Hope this helps and good luck w/ your project. Would like to see finished product sometime!

Do you have the part number for the trim piece? Maybe I can ask one of my suppliers over here. PM me, I might miss this thread

Edit: Is this the part number? 80683JJ50B

Thanks for the offer to help! I've tried everything and everyone including emailing Infiniti dealers all over the Middle East. No luck thus far. The part number you suggested is incorrect.

The part number will be 80961-*****. The last 5 characters I do not know as they are specific to different models and I don't know the classification code for GCC-spec cars that are comparable to US-spec models.

Unless someone has access to FAST and a GCC-spec VIN, I'm out of ammo on this one. I wouldn't care except the OCD in me wants it perfect and let's just say that I'm not a expert when it comes to dremeling.

Thanks for any help, though!

ILM-NC G37S, I took a couple of correct length chisels and a hammer to it...
Then I wet sanded the edges with nail files...
Then got the box very rectangular with the files and did some final quick strokes with wood files...
Finally finished it up with some flat black touch up paint... turned out pretty good...
I'll send pix when all is done... But right now I've got a 8 week wait for those harness pins...

btw, does anyone on this thread know where I can pick up a courtesy light 12v that turns on when the remote unlock signal is received under the dash? I've got blue accent LEDs shining through my hood and grill that I'd like have controlled by the courtesy light signal...
Hummm... does the courtesy light at the bottom of our doors come on when the unlock signal is received? I'm also thinking about putting in blue LEDs behind the door handles...

Micro,

The door lamps do not come on with the door unlock signal, only the overhead "map" lights. I am in the process of installing the welcome lighting kit found on the Altimas and new Q50's. The 12v source I will be using is the wire from the BCM to the overhead lights, for my '08 it's terminal 4, sky blue wire. Perhaps that's a possibility for you?

As for the bezel, I used a razor/utility knife and did a fairly decent job but as mentioned, I'm slightly OCD and being not perfect, when I know a direct, appropriate replacement is available, somewhere in this world, just drives me nuts. But thanks for the tip though. I hope the above helps!

ILM, that's really helpful...btw, which one's terminal 4 again? I picked up the yellow and purple wires at one of the terminals in BCM for the side mirror twinklers/arrows... is it that same terminal?
I was considering the Q50 welcome kit as well. Can't wait to see how nice your install will turn out!

I would double check the FSM, section BCS, for your car just to be certain but for my '08 the map lights are terminal 4:

I doubt there would be any changes through the model years but you never know. As for the lighting kit, every time I try to get started on the project something, or someone, comes up. I'll get her done eventually.

Hope this helps!

Here is a second pic, that of the BCM terminal layout.

My apologies mods for duplicate posts. For some reason my iPhone/iOS will not allow me to attach multiple photos.
