I have a 2011 G37x Sedan and a 2013 JX35 SUV. I would like to get navigation CD updates and am almost willing to pay the high price of a set, but does anyone know if I can use the same set on both vehicles? That would be most excellent...

Yes. I think you can use the same CD for both cars.
HOWEVER, you may need a navigation licence for each car.
When you buy the update, you actually pay for the licence, not for the actual CD.

Navteq introduced licence few years ago to prevent using the same navigation update CD on multiple cars.
