Should I buy these used MRR GT1's?
Hey guys,
Someone I know is selling 4 MRR GT1's (black with chrome lip) for $500. They are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. The 2 fronts have 245/40/19 Motivo tires and one of the rears has a 275/35/19 Michelin tire. So, in total there are 3 tires and I'd have to buy a fourth one. There are some curb scratches on the rims as well.
I'm seeing people post the 20" version of these wheels for at least $700-800, so I'm thinking this is a good deal right? Also, are the tire sizes okay?
Sorry for the noob questions.

Here's a template for the front brake clearance if you see the wheels in person you can match this up, or email it to the seller.

So +35 in the rear will be ok? I have a 2011 Journey sedan with stock brakes currently. I may possibly upgrade to something better in the future, though.
With 275s in back they'll be OK, they'll poke a bit if you're not lowered but will tuck inside the fenders under compression.

That template link I gave you will determine if you'd need any spacing, and like I said, you could email it to the seller and have them check. Good to know if you ever want a big brake set.
Tough call, you're already going to be pretty flush so possibly a minimal 3-5mm spacer perhaps, but nothing in the 10mm plus range I would think.

I wouldn't recommend changing just one tire.. However if you happen to find a direct replacement to match the brand and tread pattern as the other tire I guess it could be okay..Still would advise just getting two brand new tires.
Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I would definitely try and get the same tire if I were to just get one. Still debating if I should get the wheels though since I'd have to drive 6 hours away to get them =/ and shipping would end up costing a lot too I'm thinking, so I'm still debating it. If they were closer, I'd get it for sure.
Haha I'm very tempted to. They have a good amount of curb scratches though it seems but still a great price. And yeah, shipping would end up being about $150-200 whereas If I drove there then I would end up getting a room for the night plus turn it into a mini-vacation, so shipping is definitely the cheaper option. I just need to stop thinking about it and get them >_<
